A quick classic and delicious treat, it’s sweet, creamy and refreshing!

Prep time: 5 minutes     Cooking time: 5 minutes     Yield: 20 strawberries

Ingredients

  • 20 Strawberries (more or less is okay)

  • ¾ cup of chocolate chips or shavings (preferably milk chocolate but can substitute with any type of chocolate)

  • White chocolate (Optional)

Directions

  1. Wash strawberries and dry with a paper towel.
In a small pot add water until half-way and boil.

  2. Place a heat safe bowl on top of the boiling pot of water to create a double boiler.

  3. Add chocolate into the bowl and whisk every few minutes until fully melted.

  4. Once the chocolate is melted, remove the bowl from the heat and place aside for a few minutes for the chocolate to thicken up (texture should be thick enough to not drip from the strawberry but thin enough to coat the strawberry).

  5. Take the strawberries by the stem and dip/coat the strawberry in the chocolate.

  6. Place strawberry onto parchment or wax paper to cool.

  7. After all strawberries are coated, let them cool in the fridge until chocolate is solidified.
    *Optional continuation*

  8. Melt some white chocolate in the microwave and take the strawberries out of the fridge.

  9. Take a spoon and drizzle the white chocolate onto the strawberries.

  10. Place strawberries back into the fridge until solid And enjoy!
